Toddlers are ready to explore the world around them

For toddlers, there’s so much to learn and discover. The world around them is becoming more and more interesting.

Through a series of engaging activities, toddlers will learn about everything from shapes and colors to counting and the alphabet.

At TenderCare, we know that every toddler is unique, so we’ve designed our program to be flexible. That way, each toddler can learn at his or her own pace and in his or her own way.

Regular Routines!

Regular routines provide numerous benefits for toddlers. First, a daily schedule helps to ensure they receive the individual attention they need to thrive.

Also, a daily schedule will help your toddler feel secure and comfortable in their environment. The predictability of a daily routine can help reduce anxiety and provide a sense of stability for them.

More Independence!

Toddlers are ready to start doing things independently. Still, they need the help of an adult to guide them and keep them safe.

At TenderCare, we understand toddlers are learning to walk, talk, and take care of themselves. We’re here to help them discover the world around them and developing a sense of independence.

The Day of a Toddler

Our loving teachers plan a full day for your toddler. The day consists of group time, story time, meals, snacks, and naps.

Most importantly, we make sure there’s lots of playtime (because we know so much learning happens when they play with attentive teachers nearby).

Group Time

Group time provides an important opportunity for toddlers to practice their communication skills. Through group time, they learn how to take turns, share ideas, and listen to others.

Meals and Snacks

As any parent knows, mealtime with a toddler can be a challenge. But at TenderCare, we make sure that every child gets a nutritious and well-rounded meal.

Outside Playtime

Toddlers are full of energy and they never seem to stop moving, and always exploring their surroundings. That’s why we make sure your little one has outside fun at least twice a day.

Safety and Security

At TenderCare, our classrooms are places where early toddlers can feel comfortable and safe. With our inclusive design, we build warm and secure classrooms!

Toddler Curriculum

At TenderCare, our teachers are ready to help toddlers get a head start on their education by introducing them to the skills they need for success in school.

These skill include counting and sorting objects, identifying shapes and colors, and following instructions. In addition, toddlers who participate in these activities learn how to take turns, share with others, and cooperate in a group.

Early math skills

As any parent knows, toddlers are full of energy and constantly on the move. That’s why our teachers find ways to mix early math skills into daily activities that toddlers will enjoy. Something as simple as singing counting songs or clapping along to music can help toddlers develop important patterning and counting skills.

Also, activities like learning each other’s names and puttings toys away help build memory and focus skills. By incorporating these activities into daily life, toddlers can have fun while learning essential early math skills.

Learning to play together

Toddlers are little balls of energy that are just learning to explore their world. A big part of their day is spent playing with other toddlers, which is how they learn to share and make friends. At TenderCare, we teach toddlers how to communicate with each other through their actions and words.

By playing with other toddlers, they learn how to take turns, share toys, and use their words to express themselves. Toddlers are just beginning to learn the social skills that will help them thrive in preschool and beyond.

Reading and comprehension

When toddlers hear a story, they are not just processing the words – they are also trying to make sense of the characters’ motivations and the events that take place. As a result, toddlers can gain a deep understanding of complex concepts such as cause and effect, empathy, and morality.

Furthermore, research has shown that toddlers who regularly hear stories are more likely to excel in reading and writing later in life. Our TenderCare teachers understand this concept and are dedicated to help lay the foundation for a lifetime of literacy.

Learning ways to communicate

Toddlers use their whole bodies to communicate how they feel. When they are happy, they smile and laugh. When they are sad, they may cry or throw tantrums. Toddlers also use their voices to express themselves. They may babble when they are happy or frustrated. They may scream when they are angry or upset.

By communicating their feelings, toddlers gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. Our TenderCare teachers understand and are dedicated to helping your toddler express themselves and help them develop into well-adjusted children and adults.
